Leighton Whatley is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in Microbiology and minoring in Applied Biotechnology. Leighton joined the lab in May of 2025 and has been focused on bacteriophage isolation for Salmonella control. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, playing pickleball, and spending time with family and friends.

Fun fact: I have been playing tennis for 15 years.
